Grb se takodje nalazi i u Beogradskom Grbovniku II. FOTOTIPSKO IZDANJE BEOGRADSKOG GRBOVNIKA II, je, za racun Muzeja primenjene umetnosti, uradila ekipa Izdavacke kuce Dosije. Zahvaljujem se gospodinu Dušanu Mrdjenoviću i gospodinu Miliceviću iz Dosije-a koji su mi poslali skeniran grb Orlovića.
Grb Orlovića, po istrazivanju Milorada Bošnjaka i Slobodana Jakovljevića:
"Grb vojvodskih Orlovića, predaka Martinovića-Obrenovića je jednoglavi orao u uzletu - akciji, stvaranju - ostvarenju, beo i rujnocrven. Kao boje barjaka vitezova krstaša, Pavla Orlovića i onog pod kojim je knez Miloš Obrenović određen da povede Drugi srpski ustanak u Takovu, na svetkovinu biblijskog ulaska Isusa Hrista u Jerusalim, Cveti 1815. Sva tri bela sa crvenim krstom.
Bela boja je u staro vreme značila najčistiju svetlost, svetinju, slobodu i ljudsko prosvećenje. Crvenorujna, prema M. Milojeviću, je „kod Serba odvajkada bila boja naših careva i kraljeva i znak nezavisnosti, glavna boja Serboslovena. Ova boja krvi znači uzdanje u sebe i u junaštvo svoje“.
"Svetac zaštitnik Orlovića i Martinovića, predaka Obrenovića, je sveti Jovan. On je, podsetimo, i svetac masonskog i templarskog bratstva. Vojvoda Pavle Orlović se svom ujaku vojvodi Damjanu Tomkoviću zakleo svojim sv. Jovanom da će u Kosovskom boju čuvati svoju i njegovu čast. Slavno je poginuo, noseći u ruci templarski hrišćanski barjak, kojeg Miloš Obrenović drži na slici Paje Jovanovića “Drugi srpski ustanak u Takovu”, ali i u pisanim izvorima. "
Novu verziju grba Orlovica je nacrtao gospodin Dragomir Acovic iz heraldickog drustva "Beli Orao" i taj grb je registrovan u tom drustvu.
